we are using SAP MDG-M to manage our material master data. In some workflow steps it is necessary to call SAPGUI transactions because MDG-M does not support all steps which are necessary to create a new article (e.g. creation of BOM).
To achieve this we added launchpads to some workflow steps. Thats's really nice and simple but we haven't found a possibility to transfer parameters from MDG-M to SAPGUI transaction.
I am not sure if this is a FPM or MDG question but the launchpad functionality is available in all FPM applications (RelatedLinks / YouCanAlso). Do you have any idea to pass parameters from the FPM instance to the launchpad application?
I have seen that it is possible to maintain target application parameters in the launchpad but I need runtime parameters which are only known in the active MDG session. For instance it makes sense to pass the article number from the MDG change request to the target application and this isn't possible via launchpad parameters.
Furthermore it is possible to define a parameter mapping in the launchpad but probably MDG / FPM has to pass the relevant parameters to the launchpad so that these parameters can be mapped to the target application.
